About the job
This is a role for a design communicator who can work across all media formats, screens, types and technologies. As the Ernie Ball Art Director you will develop and apply the creative strategy, formulate concepts, execute and design against them for ad campaigns in print, film, digital, packaging, retail point-of-sale and social, as well as establishing the standards and guidelines that celebrate and serve the brand’s iconic counterculture California born and bred legacy. The Ernie Ball Art Director will work alongside the Music Man Art Director to develop and manage an internal team, off-site talent, external agency/production partners and team with colleagues in marketing, artist relations, product development, engineering, and sales divisions working both the B2B and B2C dimensions of the business. Ernie Ball’s Art Director will drive boundary pushing ideas into actionable concepts across all organization channels, distributors and retail partners worldwide. Remote available. Limited travel required.
How You Contribute:
Work with marketing, artist relations, content, product, and engineering to develop creative concepts and executions of assigned campaigns, products, and projects.
Lead photo shoots, both location and table top, including prep, styling, and editing.
Partners with marketing, developing and reviewing creative briefs to assure alignment.
Presents concepts to Marketing and Senior Leadership.
Oversees design team to develop approved concepts.
Mentor junior creative staff.
Remains current on industry trends and technology.
