Skills for Success:
Broad background in art direction, design and copy that spans all aspects of communications; digital, print, visual and oral storytelling with a heavy bias on creating content that generates action.
A minimum of an associate's (2 year) degree in advertising, communication design, illustration, webUX and or visual arts. A bachelor (4 year) degree is preferred.
If no degree is possessed, then 6+ years related experience in agency setting is required.
4+ years design experience in an agency setting is required.
2+ years of supervisory experience required.
Exceptional working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, design trends and typography.
Understanding of web design and UX principles with experience designing for an e-commerce or media website.
Excellent concepting, creative development, and design skills.
Comprehensive photo-retouching and image development skills.
Strong understanding of color theory and color relationships.
Experience in print production process, knowledge of production techniques, and correct disking procedures.
An immersion in music, film and lifestyle sport culture - Background as a musician is a plus
Clear and concise communication and organization skills.
Ability to creative direct, manage a freelance/vendor/agency pool and ensure high quality creative work is delivered on time, on budget within given time constraints.
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and provide marketable solutions in conceiving, developing, and producing tactics.
Proven experience managing a team of creatives or assembling teams for specific projects.
Promote a culture of innovation and strategic thinking through design.
Ability to work well with all types of creatives, producers, production, and team members in a fast paced environment with changing direction.
Desire to mentor and manage designers, recognizing and guiding talent and growth.
