FOX HEAD is in search of a Senior Product Developer - Performance, to join the team at headquarters in Irvine, CA.

Position Summary //
Drive all aspects of the product development process from concept to finished goods. You’ll function as a technical and business resource in the planning and execution of product development projects. Your focus will be to develop, at an expert level, quality, on-time, cost efficient products that are an accurate reflection of Fox Head’s position as an industry leader.

Essential Functions of this Role //

1. Perform, with expert ability, all functions of development, including all functions of previous levels.

2. Create and maintain comprehensive spec packages that meet the product’s goals for performance, innovation, image, function, and commercial viability. Manage the development of multiple advanced, industry-leading technical projects across several product categories, within calendar deadlines and to the standards set by management.

3. Assist with the exploration of new technologies, methods of assembling a garment and combining materials to reach the highest levels of performance, style and quality. Choose performance, safety and style standards that properly support the end use and expectation of the product.

4. Execute the development of complete projects, resolve construction issues and make recommendations to design and merchandising teams. Research solutions to problems and follow through to completion. Work with the appropriate departments and contacts as necessary.

5. Conduct cost negotiations; understand the margin goals set by management and achieve advantageous results.

6. Be available to train and teach Associate and Assistant Product Developers. Be available to give guidance and support without impacting your current flow of work in process.

7. Work on special assignments as necessary while staying on track with daily development projects.

8. You’ll develop an understandings of risks associated with styles and maintain constant awareness of back-up strategy to counterbalance these risks.

9. You will research and visit production factories, mills, supply houses, washing and finishing facilities, and showrooms to become familiar with manufacturing supply chain. You will make recommendations for new working relations for Fox Racing with outside vendors and suppliers and will work with the Purchasing/Production team to qualify them.

10. You will monitor and track to full accountability, the complete development process with your products, vendors and suppliers. You will notify other appropriate departments of critical information that will affect their areas.

11. You will travel to foreign countries to visit factories and aid with development and production issues. You will travel to research new fabrics, trims and techniques.

12. When appropriate, you will attend events for market research such as races, contests and festivals. You will attend appropriate trade shows and meet with vendors to research trends in materials, color, trims, and manufacturing.
