Freelance Product Graphic Designer (REMOTE) Job in Victoria, BC

Based in Victoria, Canada, in the heart of the rugged Pacific Northwest, Ocean Rodeo’s 20-year journey of building tough, high-performing kites and wings has seen it consistently remain at the forefront of technical and material innovation, not least with its recent partnership with ALUULA Composites, heralding a new generation in light kite and wing technology.

At these exciting times for the company, we are looking for a freelance graphic designer with a passion for board sports and creative mindset to support us on new exciting projects across our products portfolio.

This is a remote freelance role, based on an initial project, with more opportunities to come in the future. Portfolio with previous work required. Immediate start for the right candidate.

Requirements:
• Over 5 years of experience in Graphic Design
• Previous experience in kitesurf or other board sport industry
• Experience in multiple design disciplines (graphic design, illustration, pre-production, etc.)
• Ability to translate brand’s values and objectives into creative design solutions
• Good mix of creative vision and technical knowledge
• Exceptional eye for detail
• Ability to develop creative project from concept to product ready artworks
• Ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with in-house design, marketing & production teams and key stakeholders
• Knowledge of production processes and best design practices for different materials
• Efficient time management
• Efficient communication of expectations and deadline
• Interested in water sports, kitesurf/foil culture, innovation
