Alexander McQueen are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to assist the Logistics Manager with key operational aspects based at our Central London HQ.
 
As Logistics Coordinator you will support across all corporate functions based in our HQ, including the Design studio & Atelier as well as our post room liaising with a variety of departments across the business.
 
How you will contribute?
Coordinating and organising courier shipments such as DHL, FedEx and UPS and escalating any issues with account managers, following up and resolving issues that may arise.

Time critical Imports and exports shipments moving around the World via couriers, air, road freight.

Arranging collection and delivery/transfer of goods with 3rd party transport companies to ship the collection to the EU via van.

Obtaining shipping costs from carriers.

Liaising with agents building and managing relationships with courier providers.

Liaising with all departments across Alexander McQueen to ensure that they are kept fully informed on progress and delays or issues concerning deliveries.

You will have good knowledge regarding the legislation on commodity codes, customs duties, and VAT rates and Brexit free trade agreements relevant to garments

Handling all aspects of customs clearance

Obtaining, checking, and preparing documentation to meet customs requirements for shipping goods outside the UK.  

Dealing with customs paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibility for the logistics function and some day-to-day management of the post room.

Working closely with the Logistics Manager to improve operational efficiency of the post room.

Oversee the day-to-day management of the Post Room when required, or cover needed.

Making sure that accurate records are kept of deliveries, checking invoices and delivery paperwork, compiling reports as required.

Escalating any inaccuracies with deliveries efficiently

Assisting the Logistics Manager to investigate lost or damaged goods putting into place recovery plans.

Assisting supervision of the Archive Van twice a week

Who you are?
Ability to work in a very fast paced and demanding environment.

Excellent communication skillS.

Computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft Packages

Ability to prioritise and identify urgent requests.

Highly organised and solution focussed.

Ability to build strong relationships both inside and outside the business.

Ability to speak Italian highly beneficial.

Previous Post Room experience or courier shipment experience using DHL, FEDEX & UPS platforms.

Airfreight and road freight experience.

Customs clearance knowledge.
