About the job
Digital Projects & Operations Associate Director first will be primarily responsible to execute the strategic planning of eCommerce and Client Services activities in Japan, aligning with JP regional strategy, WW Digital Product roadmap and Tech roadmap.
Digital Projects & Operations Associate Director must be customer-centric and passionate about pioneering Digital Retail innovation in Fashion luxury, relevant to Japan Local market. He/She must be commercially driven and at the same time operationally proficient, able to work closely with other business departments to drive projects to completion.
For Operations will play an integral role in elevating the Gucci.com website to a position of having world-class ecommerce operations and associated processes and related systems to support high growth and rapid response to a range of situations.
He/She will work closely with the Global Digital Services and Operations Director on a range of projects and initiatives, aimed at fueling future ecommerce growth and drive operational excellence. Also will partner with a variety of departments both within Gucci Japan and Kering as well as key partners in Global Headquarters and other regions to improve the customer experience as well as the ratio of revenue to net sales.
The role will oversee, support and improve effectiveness of Digital Operations for the Digital Division, supporting regional initiatives by overseeing logistical, functional and operational projects.
This role will also play a key role in delivery of new initiatives to improve operating efficiencies, improve KPI’s, with a focus on growth projects (Omnichannel, iPad in store, Live Chat innovations, new partners, etc.), ensuring successful implementation.

Acute sense of the Gucci brand. Ability to develop quickly a strong understanding of the Gucci vocabulary, Gucci categories, products, selling points, Gucci visitors and customers.
Ability to enjoy the process of creating new approaches in a matrix environment, solve problems, identify improvements in processes.
Ability to “evangelize” about digitalization teams around with patience in a collaborative leadership style.
Ability to craft strategies to educate Gucci.com visitors about products characteristics, selling points according to their stage of understanding (new visitor, repeater, Gucci fan etc.)
Potential to go beyond the Gucci Projects job and participate in the development of pioneering first-in-class digital experience for Gucci visitors and customers.
