About the job
We are looking for a Demand Inventory Planner to join our operations and supply chain team at Malbon Golf. The demand/inventory planner, will be responsible for demand forecasting and optimization of inventory levels of our D2C ecommerce and wholesale sales channels. The ideal candidate will have experience with apparel combined with D2C and wholesale channels and will be able to use their expertise to help optimize inventory levels and meet customer demand.
On-site position at our headquarters located in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts for our product lines based on historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and product development to ensure accurate demand forecasts and inventory planning
- Monitor inventory levels and lead times to ensure that we have enough stock to meet customer demand without overstocking
- Work with our fulfillment team to ensure that inventory levels are optimized for order fulfillment, taking into account shipping times and other constraints
- Create and maintain reports to track inventory performance, demand forecasting accuracy, and other key metrics
- Purchase orders for core products and collaborations with partners on new products
- Manage inventory levels across multiple sales channels, including D2C eCommerce and wholesale
- Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to optimize inventory performance
- Stay up-to-date with inventory and supply chain industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in eCommerce, preferably in a D2C environment
- Shopify eCommerce platform experience
- Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with iSyncSolutions or other ERP/PLM platforms is a plus
- Passion of learning and leveraging emerging technology IE: AI, Machine Learning
