Junior Women's Designer Job in Los Angeles, CA

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Women's Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in women's apparel design, with a focus on golf and activewear. They should have an understanding of performance fabrics and the ability to conceptualize and create unique designs for the golf space. As a Junior Women's Designer, you will be responsible for participating in all aspects of the design process, from development through production, ensuring the highest quality of our products.

On-site position at our headquarters located in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of innovative design concepts for women's golf apparel, in line with Malbon brand guidelines and market trends.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure a cohesive and complementary product line.
- Research and analyze performance fabrics to optimize functionality and style for the target market.
- Support the conceptualization and creation of unique designs, taking into account customer preferences, emerging trends, and competitive landscape.
- Participate in all aspects of the design process from development through production, including attending fittings, reviewing samples, and providing feedback for improvements.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure designs are executed accurately and on schedule.
- Assist in presenting design concepts to stakeholders and communicate design rationale effectively.
- Attend brand collaboration product meetings, sales meetings, and other events to stay current with market trends and gather customer feedback.
- Learn from senior designers and contribute to the design process.
- Continuously explore and propose new design techniques, materials, and technologies to enhance the product offering

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Experience in women's apparel design, with a focus on activewear (golf experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of performance fabrics and their application in women's activewear and golf apparel.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design software.
- Strong design, color, and trend forecasting skills.
- Ability to assist in creating and presenting design concepts effectively to stakeholders.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and able to take initiative to drive projects to completion.
- Willingness to travel as needed for trade shows, sales meetings, and other events.
