About the job
The Project Manager is responsible for the success of IT projects including developing and executing detailed scope and implementation plans that directly impact our company and customer's experience. The Project Manager will drive project success with strict deadlines, budget and scope while utilizing PacSun IT PMO governance standards and methodology. The PM must be able to build strong partnerships with assigned business and IT partners, working collaboratively across departments, to lead and inspire people within or associated with the project teams.
The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to provide general guidelines and parameters for the job and are not intended as a comprehensive description of the job:
-Strong Leader - Build, lead and motivate cross functional project teams. Identify the key business drivers that necessitate the project and pull out the non-negotiable functionality of the project in order to prioritize the delivery sequence. Be forward-looking into the project plan to navigate the next steps to successful completion. Recommend and drive solutions
-PMO Subject Matter Expert - Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, budget forecasts, resource plans and status reports; Monitor and control project delivery within budget and timelines; Manage project risks and dependencies, and resolves risks and issues. Experience with SDLC methodology and planning in a hybrid of waterfall and agile methodology.
-Process Improvement Advocate -- Champion for the use and continual improvement of the IT PMO methodology and processes
-Analytical thinker -- Voice recommendations and drive solutions options; identify courses of action to be taken in order to continue to transform the business
-Change Agent - Serve as the single point of communication for large scale, highly technical projects. Manage all aspects (conception to completion) of assigned projects
-Vendor Management - Manage the integration of 3rd party vendor tasks while tracking and monitoring vendor deliverables
-Team Manager-- Manage direct reports under the PM positions - Business Analysts: Build individuals' strengths and enforce accountability
-Provide opportunities for growth through challenging assignments
