About the job
• Responsible for overseeing the creation and maintenance of planning team's work in forecasting sales, inventory, markdowns, promotions and margins to a category and/or style level that tie to merchandising strategies. Will be required to present pre-season and in-season forecasts/strategies to executive team.
• Manage monthly OTB process along with leading planning team to update sales and inventory forecasts based on current sales trends, merchandise availability and other changes in business. Present to executive team in monthly merchandise planning meeting.
• Collaborate with Allocation, store planning and buying to curate assortment by tier and volume groups
• Track promotional performance and knowledge of historical promotions by category and/or style
• Support planning team in providing buyers pre-season and in season sku count recommendations, length of product life and velocity based on historical and current trends.
• Quantify risks and opportunities and making the appropriate recommendations to merchant teams and management
• Partner with buying team to determine category and/or style level promotions and permanent markdowns based on inventory turn and margin goals
• Support a collaborative, innovative and results-oriented environment with peers and cross-functional team including Buying, Product Development, Store Operations, Store Planning, Allocation, Visual and Finance
• Ad-hoc reporting requests
