Job Description

Reporting to the Regional Director/Manager, the Regional Talent Manager is responsible for driving all talent initiatives for the Region in order to cultivate a group of Customer-focused, sales driven, profitable and productive retail locations. The Regional Talent manager is responsible for all aspects of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and supporting retention and promotion of Top Talent; those with a passion for the product and brands that we sell. The RTM will assist the RD/RM with onboarding and ongoing training and development for Area and Store Managers in the Region. Ultimately, the RTM ensures a rewarding employee experience and exceptional customer environment every day.

• Uses company tools, social media and networks to source for talent
• Ensures successful completion of recruiting and hiring events in the Region
• Builds and maintains a pipeline of talented Store Management and Key Holder candidates (and Sales Associates as needed)
• Actively partners with Area and Store Managers to identify high-potential internal and external talent and strategically align bench strength
• Recruits for Area Manager and above positions for the region, in partnership with the RM or RD
• Interviews all Store Manager and Area Manager (internal and external) candidates in the Region
• Fills all open jobs within 30 days and all top doors with highly skilled, relevant
• Utilizes current recruiting and hiring tools in order to process offer worksheets for Store and Area Management candidates
• Manages onboarding plans for all new Store and Assistant Store Managers
• Responsible for all control forms associates with onboarding, hiring and promoting all employees in the Region
• Manages and submits hours for onboarding, training, and borrowing employees
• Partners with HR Operations and Regional HR Generalists to ensure all new members of Store Management are trained
• Provides coaching and feedback to Area and Store Managers in partnership with the Regional Manager/Director
• Conducts Field training and development classes as needed
• Identifies skill gaps and development needed to support effective succession planning
• Participates in Talent Review process for each Area and Region to assist in achieving retention goals
• Participates in Performance Management activities with Regional Team and Regional HR Generalist
• Recognizes and celebrates individual and team achievements
• Provides and “open door” where team members are free to express their concerns and ideas
• Inspires, motivates and influences Region by exhibiting core value behaviors at all times

Store Experience
• Inspects Visual and Operational aspects of the business during Store Visits
• Provides feedback, coaching and training around the Customer Experience and Store Operations as needed when in stores
• Steps in and supports Engaged Selling when needed
• Coordinates all communication with other members of the Regional team to ensure messages are prioritized to best serve the business
• Provides training and guidance to management in store operations
• Provides feedback to Regional Director/Manager regarding store and customer opportunities
• Holds teams and individuals accountable to all timelines, deadlines, and compliance issues related to Talent

Additional Responsibilities
• Completes projects as assigned or as needed
• Embodies competencies of Drive for Results, Communication, Customer Focus, Decision Making, Continuous Learning, Build Successful Teams and Develop Others
• Ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities and stretch assignments as assigned
• Ability to work the required schedule
• Adheres to federal, state and local labor laws
• Secures and maintains assigned company property
• Overnight travel may be required
• Ability to climb, reach, bend and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and over 50 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to operate a cash register and fold and display merchandise
• Ability to communicate through oral interactions



Job Requirements

• Four-year college degree preferred
• Effective written, verbal and presentation skills
• Experience as a leader within a specific division of responsibility in his or her work group
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Proven ability to drive sales results
• Proven track record of promoting talent and ability to build winning teams
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to interpret all policies and procedures to resolve customer and associate issues
• Flexible with schedule (able to work weekends, nights, peak holiday periods)
• Proficient in math and possesses strong computer skills
• Minimum three to five years retail management experience, previous District Manager experienced preferred
• Ability to relocate preferred
• Must be 18 years of age
