Primary Duties
• Directs the work of the Data Center Operators, Service Desk and Desktop Support teams.
• Manages physical Data Center facility. Assists with site planning including growth capacity, including future project roadmap.
• Manage and maintain Service Desk SLA’s, run books, as well as work with our customers to ensure we are providing the appropriate level of customer service.
• Manages ticketing system and all associated metrics/reporting.
• Updates and maintains Operations documentation, including a shift check list and detailed procedural documentation.
• Works with management to develop administration standards.
• Works with management, IT groups to automate processing.
• Coordinates all shift schedules to ensure adequate operator coverage 24x7x365.
• Partners with Engineering Group to coordinate all backups and system outages for maintenance activities.
• Partners with the Operations, Service Desk and Desktop Support staff to ensure they are adequately trained in all areas.
• Works closely with other teams (i.e. Store Systems) to ensure store polling and flash processing are completed on time on a daily basis.
• Ensures all activities are being performed and logged correctly by auditing the completion on a regular basis.
• In addition to the performance of the job responsibilities, mentioned above, this position may be required to perform supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Manager based on the particular requirements of the operation.
• IT technical leadership to build and deliver cutting-edge infrastructure and proactively bringing new ideas, technologies, and methodologies.
• Planning and scheduling of required maintenance and resources. Responsible for managing the system uptime.
• Monitoring and evaluating the performance and efficiency of hardware/software usage.
• Maintains disaster recovery plans, preparations, and performs annual testing
• Works collaboratively with all management to internalize business needs and drive priorities for the Systems Engineering team
• Performs other related duties as assigned
