Independent Trading Company, providing embellished and blank sweatshirts to action sports companies since 1997, is seeking a full time Purchasing Assistant for their San Clemente, CA office.

POSITION SUMMARY
You will assist the Production Manager in tracking and ordering blank stock for approx 3,000 skus. Work with our overseas factories on WIP reports, quality assurance, timely deliveries, and any questions/issues pertaining to salesmen samples and production. Work closely with our sales team on future predictions for sales, in order to have enough stock on hand to cover orders in both our California and Pennsylvania warehouses, along with our many distributors across the USA and Canada.

This position is 40 hrs a week.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES //
• Consistently monitor and maintain inventory levels in both warehouses, to assure on time deliveries and adequate inventory levels to cover sales.

• Reviews factory WIPs on a weekly basis to be sure our internal records match the factory’s delivery and quantity records.

• Works with the Prod Mgr on half yearly purchasing projections for our stock program, consisting of 45+ styles and millions of units.

• Monitors the Credit Card queue for sales, to be sure orders are moving through the system in a timely manner.

• Communicates with the sales team on any credit card issues, so they can be resolved in a timely manner.

• Communicates often with the sales team, on current inventory and new developing styles.
