Graphic Designer Job in Torrance, CA

Girl Skateboards has an opening for the position of Graphic Designer in the Art Dump at our Torrance, CA headquarters. In this role you will be contributing to everything from designing skateboards, apparel, and accessories to creating the assets for marketing and sales. As a part of a small focused group of creative individuals, it is important that you are proficient at the core software required, as well as responsive to critique and direction.

A typical day can involve anything from coming up with designs for product, to being asked to help with product shoots, to designing a magazine ad. The ability to work gracefully under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude is essential in this position. The ideal candidate has a positive can-do attitude, an insatiable desire to learn new things within design and digital media, as well as an enthusiasm for skateboarding. Knowledge or experience in photo, video, and/or animation is a huge plus.

Overview of tasks:
• Design for skateboards, apparel, accessories
• Product photography
• Product photo editing
• Marketing asset preparation
• Sales flyers
• Production tech packs

Sample work is required of any applicant, as well as a resumé. Candidates who do not provide a portfolio link or a PDF lookbook sample will not be considered.

Qualifications
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
• Proficiency in InDesign
• Familiarity with editing in Camera Raw / Adobe Lightroom
