Graphic Artist Job in Torrance, CA

Alpinestars is currently seeking a Graphic Artist to join its growing creative team. This person will carry out the following tasks:
- Create graphic designs for garments and assorted apparel applications
- Shop the marketplace for new and creative trends and ideas
- Demonstrate understanding of existing and potential consumers and how the design department’s work does or does not directly resonate with them
- Be a contributor to design meetings which direct the brand’s progression
- Present creative comps, visuals and forward thinking design
- Show a direct understanding of successful brands inside and outside the industry and translate that understanding through a viable design ethic that complements the current direction of the brand
- Properly layout artwork on to pattern blocks

Requirements for this position:
- Must be able to take direction and execute as directed without deviation
- Must be extremely diligent and detail oriented
- Must be well versed in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Must possess the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple duties at the same time
- Must be prepared and willing to put in the hours it takes to get the job done
- May require Associate degree or equivalent. 3-5 years experience in action sports industry a plus
