The North Face, based in Alameda, CA (San Francisco Bay Area), is seeking an experienced Digital Commerce Director.

The Director, Digital Commerce is responsible for leading the strategic development and sales growth of The North Face US and Canada websites. This role requires a proven track record in leading and evolving e-Commerce businesses through driving innovation in technology, engaging content, developing people and teams, displaying financial acumen, and implementing partnerships across operations, merchandising, and digital marketing. The objectives of this role are to grow revenue, improve gross margin, maximize operating income and deliver the ultimate brand experience. As a member of the DTC senior management team, the Director, Digital Commerce provides leadership and vision to drive The North Face eCommerce business forward while balancing multiple competing priorities and finite resources. This position must be a strong people leader, able to influence cross-functional and cross-brand teams, and manage multiple agencies and team members to create the most compelling online experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop Digital Commerce strategies in conjunction with VP of Digital Commerce and Experience to fulfill revenue and profit plans, changing consumer expectations and market conditions.
- Drive sales, profit and consumer experience metrics of www.thenorthface.com and associated Apps by leading a team and driving day to day execution of strategies, promotions, tactics and campaigns.
- Own strategy and execution of technology roadmap, working with internal and external technology teams, VF Digital partners and best in-class vendors.
- Manage Digital Commerce P&L, including revenue and margin forecasting, expense budgeting and forecasting
- Drive site experience improvements through analytics, testing and UI/UX research to drive increased conversion and AOV, while also providing a strong user experience that drives satisfaction
- Manage execution of all web analytics for thenorthface.com including content, site, traffic and marketing campaign analysis
- Drive execution of seasonal content and merchandising calendars to ensure freshness, relevancy, consistency and appropriate balance of brand story-telling and commerce
- Own process, budget and team (internal and external resources) to secure appropriate photo/video and related product content to drive brand story-telling and commerce
- Lead operational decision making and partner with leadership in customer service, distribution and logistics to drive performance and customer satisfaction
- Continue to grow omnichannel strategies and execute plans including ensuring appropriate infrastructure and consumer experience strategies are in place.
- Analyze current and past trends, monitor performance indicators, highlight trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
- Perform appropriate competitive analyses, benchmarking and research to drive solid ROI analysis and recommendations.
- Manage all aspects of performance and development of direct reports to encourage professional growth.
- Keep current with the latest eCommerce trends and technology to drive innovation and stay ahead of competition.
