Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Primary responsibilities of the Costing Manager are to support the TNF product build to cost efforts to drive cost visibility, product inputs, and creative solutions to achieve margin targets. Critical to the role is also to facilitate Sourcing and Development connectivity to their respective product category. These efforts need to optimize cost and execution toward a margin, an accurate sample and buy ready status. The Manager will work within Product Director Teams to coordinate the costing process to ensure on time development (calendar management) of TNF products that meet established product intention, wholesale prices and target margins. They will ensure Sourcing connectivity to the Product Team to drive a deep understanding and alignment of vendor capabilities and vendor allocation strategies with their respective product category.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Report directly to Product Engineer to analyze, coordinate and confirm costing and ensure that seasonal category margins are accurate for sign off.
Analyze and drive item and category level cost inputs and margins from initial brief hand off through final margin sign off.
Review factory pricing and provide solution options (redesign, revised construction, alternate fabric / trims) for costing challenges. Act as product category lead in liasing with Sourcing when additional pricing negotiations are required during the development stages.
Work with Product Engineers as needed to solve for challenging item level margins.
Act as direct liaison with all Regional Sourcing Offices on seasonal calendar deliverables including: proto-typing, pre-costing and final costing.
Communicate with Sourcing (and travel as needed) to help facilitate development of product to a margin. Ensure vendor meets product requirements and expectations of wholesales/margins, and that they understand spec packages. Assist Sourcing through recommending factory allocations and balancing Western Hemisphere vs. Asia production.
Monitor and track salesman sample execution to correct spec for every season.


SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
5-7 years of related professional experience.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of education and experience.
Experience in production planning and manufacturing preferred.
Experience in sourcing in Asia as well as experience in working through a local office.
Must be able to professionally handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Strong communication skills (oral and written).

Strong PC skills (Microsoft Programs).
