As the Senior Manager of Corporate Events, you'll be responsible for working effectively with internal teams, industry organizations and external vendors to deliver world class event programs that drive successful results against strategic objectives, timelines and financial goals.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Senior Manager of Corporate Events position plays a key role in the design, development and implementation of the organization's participation in high profile events. The ideal candidate can thrive under pressure, champion overall breakout event experiences and have a passion for event production and logistics. You must be creative, with an incredible eye for detail and be able to consistently execute with a solid sense for the Sumo Logic brand, culture and products.

Major tasks include directing and managing the processes of scouting and securing event venues/booth space, budget forecasting and management for marketing operations and events, exhibit layout creation, sourcing and overseeing all on-site vendors, negotiation of staff hotel blocks, on-site trouble-shooting, receipt and organization of event assets post-show, and processing of all corresponding paperwork.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Event development and planning
Manage event master calendar and strategic plan
Budget management
Contract negotiation and processing
On-site event management
Work closely with sales to orchestrate sales motions for each event
Forecast and procurement of event resources and technical services
Evaluate and provide counsel on new event opportunities

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or Communications or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
10+ years of successful experience in Marketing Management including strategic planning, communications/public relations, creative project management, and/or retail marketing, preferably with experience in the outdoor industry.
Strong project oriented skills with both long and short-term projects requiring creativity and ingenuity.
Must be able to work professionally with flexibility in handling multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and grammar skills.
Strong planning, scheduling, and problem solving skills.
Must have a proven track record in marketing communications, agency relations, implementing processes, and on-time delivery.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; e-mail and Internet use with knowledge of Acrobat and graphic file options (TIFF, EPS, etc.) is a plus.
Self-motivated, flexible, and able to handle large volumes of work independently.
Travel required: 50%
