Forecasting Manager: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
The primary responsibilities of the Forecasting Manager are to oversee the building of the seasonal demand plans, partner with the Director of Forecasting and the Merchandising, Sales, and Finance organizations to drive cross-functional consensus on seasonal demand and inventory commitments.

How You Will Make a Difference:
Beginning with the handoff from the Merchandising team, manage the seasonal consensus demand and inventory planning processes for all categories - by analyzing sales projections, demand plans and capacity constraints, partnering with the Forecasting Director to draw conclusions and communicate relevant issues to the organization (Sales, Finance, Merchandising, Product, DTC, Supply Planning) throughout the seasonal cycle.
Partnering with US Supply Planning counterparts to manage the US Wholesale demand plans and seasonal inventory commitments to the SKU level (style, color, and size)
Define processes and develop the teams systems expertise to build both short-term and long-term demand projections, as well as to develop statistical forecasting processes to inform strategic planning and seasonal merchandising efforts.
Hire, train, develop, and maximize retention for the team of analysts. Enable the analysts to make strong business decisions by providing clear rules and guidance, and by communicating the broader business goals and needs through assigned project work and metrics.
In partnership with the Merchandising team, manage and report on global historical demand data to encourage cross-functional adherence to seasonal goals, including SKU Productivity & Forecast Accuracy.
Inform the inventory management process through reporting and analysis of projected seasonal supply.
With guidance from the Director of Forecasting, translate inventory goals into tactical decision criteria for the team to execute.

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5 years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
BA/BS Business Administration or Finance
Previous management experience
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to perform work independently while delegating appropriately on a large volume of simultaneous projects
Motivation, flexibility and detail orientation are required to meet the demands of a fast-paced and passionate working environment
Strong data management skills
Ability to manage and lead a team of analysts
Ability to apply strong analytical skills to develop business conclusions and recommendations
Ability to work and partner with all levels of the organization
Strong PC and systems skills (spreadsheets, databases, word processing)
