Merchandising Planner: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
As part of the Merchandising Planning team, this position will own assigned consumer territory and product planning across all North Americas Retail environments (Mexico, Canada, US). The Merchandising Planner will work collaboratively with the Merchandising, RD&D, Operations, Sales, and Finance departments in creating seasonal line and demand plans to achieve TNFs strategic, financial, and distribution goals.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Develop seasonal line plans at the collection, category, gender, and style level to achieve style count and productivity goals in alignment with brand strategy
Build bottoms-up plans by territory and channel at the style and color level to align with financial plan based on merchant insights, sell-thru data, historical trend, and seasonal initiatives
Inform segmented assortment strategies using quantitative market analysis
Partner with Merchandising Manager, Finance, and Product Teams to achieve North American revenue and margin targets
Provide seasonal line planning guidance to Merchandising and Product Management through volume demand and SKU efficiency analysis
Ensure regional category merchandising plans align with their respective financial plan for all North America (Canada, US, Mexico)
Own North America demand forecast handoffs to the forecasting and operations teams, outlining big ideas and brand initiatives
Conduct ad-hoc analysis in support of merchandising directors
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+ years in merchandise planning, forecasting, or buying
Educational/ Position Requirements:
Very strong Excel required. BI reporting tools a plus.
Deep analytical skills and ability to clearly communicate analysis to broad audience
Strong cross functional collaboration required.
Sound organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experience product forecasting, statistical modeling and/or strategic planning,
Experience in retail sales analysis and interpretation of data to identify opportunities.
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
10% travel required
