Associate Buyer (Digital): Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
You will develop and execute merchandising strategies that maximize sales, margin, inventory turnover, visual presentation and customer satisfaction. You will drive strategic and daily execution for planning, buying, analyzing, merchandising, and forecasting of The North Face e-commerce merchandise while adhering to company and divisional strategies.

How You Will Make a Difference:
Drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory and bottom line profitability.
Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities at department and digital class levels to influence strategies to ensure sales and comp growth. (related actions include: identifying right quantities to purchase to achieve sales, margin, turnover, and merchandising objectives. Recap and analyze actual sales results to plan and forecast in-season sales / inventory needs on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Work with Planning Mgr. to create open-to-buy forecasts. Monitor inventory for all styles and drive allocation strategy to meet department financial goals)
Influence development/decision of product assortment, merchandise point of view, key item positioning and promotional plans to ensure assortment exceeds customer product expectations and supports business objectives.
Strengthen inventory mix by collaborate with cross-functional team on replenishment needs via product transfers or quick turn to drive inventory requirements and meet in-stock targets.
Manage and communicate business performance by generate data and make recommendations based on analysis of merchandise performance. Analysis can include color, class, and division selling to provide feedback to digital merchandising team and act to drive business to improve future purchase decisions.
Partner with digital merchandising team, digital analyst, and marketing to create a compelling product experience on the site with brand-right merchandise presentation.
Contribute to digital marketing needs via monitoring copy and photo briefs for product to ensure product investment matches key asset and image communication to the customer.

Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+ years retail buying experience, with 2+ years of e-Commerce buying experience.
Educational/ Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Merchandising or related field and/or relevant experience.
Advanced computer skills required, including a solid knowledge Word, Excel, AS400, and SAP.
Knowledge of online merchandise techniques a bonus.
Strong analytical skills.
Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Possess and ability to understand financial measurements and how to impact them.
Must be detail oriented.
Strong merchandise planning/analysis and the inventory pipeline skills from concept to permanent markdown.
Strong communication skills.
Strong trend analysis and problem solving skills.
Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency.
Strong team building skills.
Self-motivated, flexible, and able to handle large volumes of work independently.
Have a personal connection with the Outdoors.
