Sr. Color Standards Analyst Job in Alameda, VT

As a member of the Quality Assurance (QA) team supporting some of the VF brands such as The North Face and JanSport, the Sr. Color Standards Analyst is responsible for working closely with the Color Manager to help support departmental initiatives. This position involves providing a high level of service to a specified category(s) for the color evaluation and approval process, identifying and evaluating processes that will create efficiencies for the Color department, and providing technical support to the Color Analysts including training and identifying educational resources and opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate on the execution of departmental projects with the Color Manager.
Partner with the Color Manager and Director to assess and create action plans based on metrics results. Assist with the collection of departmental metrics by specified calendar deadlines as needed.
Provide technical expertise to Color Analysts for day to day issues as needed.
Maintain departmental documentation and updates (e.g. SOP).
Identify and help develop resolution to problematic quality issues, processes and tools/systems.
Identify and help implement educational resources and tools for Color Analysts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in Creative Management of Design and/or Development in a medium or large size company, preferably in the outdoor industry.
Bachelor's Degree in Design (Apparel), Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a track record in assisting in the development of innovative designs, procedures, implementing processes and getting things done on time.
Color Science and/or textile products dyeing and finishing experience or training a plus.
Proficient PC skills (spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail).
Good Analytical and mathematical skills.
Aptitude for systems and systematic work.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Strong interactive skills.
