Associate Retail Buyer: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
As a member of the Retail Team, the Associate Retail Buyer will take ownership of a portion of the Sr. Buyer's overall business and manage the process to achieve sales, margin, and inventory turnover. The Associate Retail Buyer will also provide operational support for the Sr. Buyer by performing daily tasks.

How You Will Make a Difference:
Clear understanding of financial measures and levers.
Able to influence and defend a point of view to peers and management.
Ability to problem solve successfully.
Strong cross-functional relations with key partners: Visual, RD&D, Planning & Allocation.
Responsible to partner with manager to develop seasonal strategies that align with overall strategic vision.
Develop and articulate a POV about product assortment and business opportunities weekly.
Maintains comprehensive oversight of all phases of managing the business: OTB, sales reporting (re-caps), and communicates findings and action steps.
Responsible for: PO Loads, SMU, ATS, RTV, sales reporting, receipt management, assortment sheets, seasonal forecast, IR, merchandise strategies.

Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Educational/ Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Retail Administration, Merchandising, Business, or other related field and/or related experience preferred.
Previous merchandising and/or retail experience a plus.
Merchandise planning/analysis and inventory pipeline skills from concept to permanent markdown.
Trend analysis and problem solving skills are required.
Learns how to manage and build cross-functional relations.
Manage competing priorities and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
A strong understanding of the competition.
Strong organization skills.
Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency.
Experts at systems: AS400, Jwalk, Track Via.
Experts at tactics: PO loads, RTV, item set-ups, price changes, ATS, SMU management, receipt management, assortment sheets, visual lab write-ups, sample management, seasonal forecast, IR, merchandise strategies.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
Travel by air and overnight, as required 5% of time.
