Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with all Research & Development teams to develop advanced, market leading innovative performance garments which improve brand competitiveness through product/technology leadership to deliver added value to athletes and customers.
Responsible for taking brainstormed ideas and transfer them into possible functional performance concepts with regards to fit, silhouette, pattern engineering and technical development constructions.
Work within a development plan on short, mid and long term projects to meet product objectives.
Create pattern blocks and mockups to explore, resolve, or prove new concepts or construction techniques.
Effectively communicate fit, construction and workmanship issues to vendors. Follow through on all issues during fit approval process
Work with the development team to resolve fit, style and construction challenges to ensure a commercialized product.
Participate in the evaluation of manufacturability and cost effectiveness of materials and technologies.
Evaluate the functional characteristics of garments and their impact on comfort and performance through fit and pattern structure.
Incorporate results of garment/athlete research and testing results while building concepts, which answer to athletes needs against performance benefits. Develop creative and practical solutions.
Travel to internal and external partners to follow up project work.
Make recommendations to resolve potential production and cost issues while maintaining design and fit intent.
Create spec packages including correct grade rules and non-standard construction details
Partner with agents/vendors to troubleshoot, educate, and understand factory capabilities
Track and manage workflow to ensure deadline is met for each delivery per production calendar
Ability to identify and proactively engage manager and business partners when issues arise with recommendations for viable options/solutions.
Mentor and manage direct report.
