VP, Global Retail Merchandising Transformation Lead: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
As the Vice President, Global Retail Merchandising Transformation Lead, you will be the dedicated leader for driving the end-to-end vision and operating model for Retail Merchandising globally. You will define a future Retail Merchandising model that blends both art and science to enable our brands to build consumer-focused and financially-optimized assortments, and to ensure ongoing loyalty and profitable growth. You will collaborate closely with VFs global Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) leadership community across brands and regions to evolve the end-to-end process for how our brands products are assorted, planned, allocated, replenished and managed in-season, and to define the best suite of technology tools and capabilities to support our end-to-end process. Your work will directly drive step-change improvements to how consumers experience our brands, as well as to VFs top-line, bottom-line and inventory productivity results.

How You Will Make a Difference:
Assess current-state of VF Retail Merchandising, including end-to-end processes and organizations (across brands and regions), and identify biggest pain points, priorities, and opportunities. Provide vision and best practices by harnessing previous experience and outside-in perspectives to define holistic insights and lessons learned for VF. Drive the definition of future-state VF operating model for VF Retail Merchandising including end-to-end process design, organizational design requirements, functional business requirements, all informed by external best practices. Define Retail Merchandising implementation roadmap based on future-state operating model, prioritized against brand / region / channel / functional filters, and formalize business case with ROI-centric view Retail Merchandising opportunity and investment requirements. Overall project leadership and oversight, managing global workflow across regions and Brand teams for on-time and on-budget project delivery

Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 15+ years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of years of experience and education
15+ years of work experience with global retail/consumer brands, preferably for apparel/footwear brands in Retail Merchandise Planning and Management
10+ years of experience leading global operational transformation initiatives for Retail Merchandising for leading apparel/footwear retail companies
Deep experience in designing and implementing Retail Merchandising processes, organizations and systems for Merchandise Planning and Merchandise Management
Leadership and influencing skills to be effective in a matrixed organization with geographically dispersed teams

This position can be based in either the VF HQ in Denver, CO or the Vans HQ in Costa Mesa, CA.
