What You Will Do
This exciting role will be a strategic business partner to our Sr Director of Direct Retail and Sr Director of DTC Merchandising as they focus on reinvigorating the retail experience for our consumers. They will report directly to our Sr Director of Human Resources for North Face Americas and will be responsible for workforce planning, talent development, performance management, culture/engagement, recruitment, and legal compliance. The right candidate will help us drive our Direct Retail business into the future and have a tremendous impact on the brand perception.

How You Will Make A Difference
This role will be a part of the Direct to Consumer Leadership Teams and will partner with the Sr Director of Direct Retail and Sr Director DTC Merchandising to ensure that they are provided with strategic people consultation to help drive business results

This role has the opportunity to lead a strong team of HR Professionals in all aspects of the employee life cycle. They will assess the current direct to consumer retail organization and design a strategy to ensure that the customer experience at The North Face is best in class for our consumers

They will benchmark with VFs other brands and externally to learn and implement best practices

They will design a talent plan that ensures that the Direct to Consumer business has the talent needed to achieve their strategic goals using a combination of internal and external talent pipelines

Partner with our recruitment teams and store managers to create strong connections with the communities that we do business in and design campaigns that attract the talent we want for the future

They will create a talent development strategy in partnership with our Talent Development COE to ensure our associates gain the critical skills to continuously improve our business and are prepared for future promotional opportunities

Create a people data and analytics strategy that identifies trends to help drive future business decisions for the retail business

Assess our current in store culture and design a strategy to continue to move to a more customer centric approach that will help to increase engagement, retention, and the customer experience

Collaborate with other brands to design an engaging on-boarding experience for our direct retail associates

Review our total rewards strategy with our COE to ensure that we remain competitive versus our target companies and provide guidance on annual merit/bonus cycles

Complete store visits to continue to educate on HR strategies, continuously develop our leadership teams, and ensure that the values of The North Face are represented in our store environments

Assist with high level employee relations issues

Promote equal opportunities and a diverse work environment


What You Bring
Required:
7-10 years of experience in Human Resources or applicable experience

5-7 years of previous experience leading and developing strong teams

Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of relevant experience

Thorough understanding of HR Functional disciplines, e.g. talent development, HR consulting, talent acquisition, employee relations, and people engagement

Thorough knowledge of applicable state and federal laws

Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence leaders up to a Sr Director level

Successful ability to use people analytics and data to influence business decisions

Strong ability to assess situations and create innovative solutions

Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment


Preferred:
5-7 years of experience in a successful direct to consumer retail environment

Salary Range:
$114,048.00 USD - $171,072.00 USD annually
Annual Incentive Eligibility:
This position is eligible to participate in VF's Annual Incentive Plan. Incentive Plan awards are contingent upon (1) achievement of your individual objectives and (2) VF achieving its' Corporate and business level financial objectives.

Long Term Incentive Eligibility:
This position is not eligible for long term incentive.
