Giant Bicycles is looking to add a Marketing Communications Manager to its team in Newbury Park, CA.

Job Summary:
The Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for engaging and educating the Giant USA retail network using inspirational, high-impact content. This individual will apply their deep knowledge of storytelling and creative content execution.

The MCM will work with the National Retail Services and Marketing Manager to identify, define and communicate Giant USA’s marketing communication strategy for company-wide awareness, departmental calendaring, implementing of timelines and ultimately, the execution of departmental projects/initiatives to meet or exceed objectives.

The MCM will work with cross-functional team members to be responsible for all areas of production/execution across a wide variety of creative deliverables including, but not limited to: Digital Assets, Advertising, Retail Support, Product Launch and Promotions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Partner with National Retail Services and Marketing Manager on key company MBO/KPI to amplify Giant USA brands’ (Giant, Liv, Momentum) market influence & engagement via online and print Advertising, Key retail (GRP) Retail Support, Seasonal bicycle and gear launches, Sales program execution and consumer-driven promotions.
• Lead Digital Marketing team to identify and leverage website marketing, social media initiatives, video brand & product highlights, and future interactive web experiences.
• Seek new content, ideas, influencers within Giant retailer and customers and be part of bringing their stories to life.
• Source and manage multiple contributors from all disciplines – film, photography, writers and Giant’s own staff to activate the channels and help tell our brand stories.
• Lead the creative design & content development of Sales workbooks, Gear catalog, infographics, Sales & Marketing internal communication, retail marketing programs, digital marketing initiatives and interactive web experiences.
• Edit and proofread all creative content working with Sales, Product and Marketing team members.
• Work with Print and Media vendors to ensure product and brand stories are highlighted and reviewed.
• Work with Retail Services team on Marketing initiatives/campaigns to connect better with in-store and online customers.
• Partner with Regional Sales Managers for geography-specific content/program support to increase local market reach.
• Passion for customers and drive to understand buyer needs, translating that into relevant and useful content marketing.
• Identify, define and communicate marketing strategy for implementation of departmental calendars and timelines.
• Work closely with Product and Sales to insure proper content quality for all creative deliverables.
• Annual department budget management.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
• B.S. Degree in Marketing or Communication preferred.
• 5+ years Creative Content and Marketing Strategy experience.
• 3+ years Digital Marketing experience.
• Experience in / or passion for cycling and/or sporting goods industry.
• Creative content leadership and design skills (InDesign, Adobe Illustrator).
• Strong project management skills and experience working successfully with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills, especially outlining and writing short and long-form content.
• Solid foundation in creative initiatives, marketing campaign strategy, content marketing and performance measurement.
• Strong analytical and business skills.
• Understanding Media and Public Relations, Advertising.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Marketing strategies related to online and offline tools.
• Ability to work independently and adapt easily to change.
• Domestic and some international travel required.
