Giant, located in Newbury Park, Ca. (Thousand Oaks) has an awesome opportunity for a Field Team Manager to join the marketing team, reporting into the Sports Marketing Manager.

This opportunity is based out of our corporate office in Newbury Park, CA. Remote work is NOT an option. You must work out of headquarters. The salary range is: $53K plus opportunity to earn Quarterly Bonuses

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Field Team Manager is to manage the Field Representative program and coordinate market development and product sales throughout the year. The Field Team Manager will be directly responsible for (1) Lead Development of Field Representative program (2) Demo, Lifestyle, Launch Events, (3) Sports Marketing and Marketing Assets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead Development of Field Representative program:
• Train and lead development of Field Representative program.
• Train Field Representatives on implementing experiences and storytelling to strengthen and support key markets which are identified by the team to create the greatest sales impact.
• Lead Field Representative so they can execute a high level of product and brand knowledge to influence additional sales at demo events, races, festivals, store opening, and store events.
• Support Field Representative plan, execute and promote key regional events and demo to generate product sales by selling local retailer inventory and/or E-comm inventory.
• Train Field Representatives on how to train retailers on Giant USA bicycle and gear brands by conducting retail training sessions in key markets.
• Collaborate with Field Representatives to provide timely input on key market development opportunities, cycling trends, and consumer buying behavior.

Demo, Lifestyle & Launch Events:
• Support Events Manager and Sports Marketing Manager for other company events.
• Determine what events to attend.
• Coordinate logistics of event including applications, permits and fees.
• Set-up and tear-down event activation assets.

Sports Marketing and Marketing Assets:
• Lead staff on assembling and maintaining of demo, display and photo sample bikes.
• Lead warehouse staff on maintaining warehouse space to high standards of organization and cleanliness.
• Monitor Field Representative Vehicle & Driver compliance log (DOT scores) and Bike fleet maintenance log.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or 3+ years of high level experience in bicycle industry including bicycle mechanic experience.
• Experience driving large vehicles and trailers.
• Experience maintaining a log book and observing work/rest requirements and conform to federal HOS laws.
• A clean driving record with no history of DUI.
• Comfortable with travel and time away from home.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills; proven ability to work cross-functionally to accomplish objectives.
• Ability to work independently as well as the ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced bicycle handling skills.
• Able to lift up to 100lbs.

Travel: Domestic 30% - 60%
