Zumiez is in search of a Men’s Technical Designer - Private Label to join the team at the Home Office, in Lynnwood, WA. Technical Design experience is REQUIRED to be considered for this position.

Reporting to // Senior Technical Designer/Fit Specialist-Private Label
Position Summary //
Zumiez is seeking a full time Men’s Technical Designer to join us in making crazy amazing knit and woven product for our Private Label brands. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with a high level of attention to detail, organization, a passion for patternmaking, and a love affair with making fit dreams come true.

You Know How To....
• Measure samples and document all measurements and styling / construction differences based off of tech pack.
• Plan and execute fit sessions with multiple designers and/or attendees on a live model.
• Identify, improve, correct and relay fit issues through clearly written comments and illustrations to both domestic and foreign factories where English is a second language.
• Manage product development through each aspect of fit & development
• Create and update tech packs and BOM’s
• Construct final graded specs based off each individual style’s properties
• Review patterns and make recommendations as necessary.
You’ll Need To ...
• Maintain new proto sample log in & preparation (checking matrix, pulling and reviewing technical packages)
• Manage incoming packages for the department, log and delegate accordingly.
• Prepare TOP samples to our Internet division for e-commerce photo-shoots.
• Track and maintain all fit samples.
• Review, adhere to, and communicate product development timelines in weekly TAC
