Zumiez is in search of a Men’s Technical Designer for Private Label (Technical Outerwear, Wovens) to join the team in Lynnwood, WA.
** This position REQUIRES at lease 4 years of previous experience in TECHNICAL APPAREL DESIGN for consideration. **

Zumiez is seeking a Technical Designer to join us in making crazy amazing product. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with an extraordinary level of attention to detail, organization, a passion for patternmaking & a love affair with making fit dreams come true. Zumiez is a fast growing awesome company, with awesome people. If you are a subject expert, this is your calling!
REPORTS TO // Men’s Technical Design Manager-Private Label
YOU KNOW HOW TO ...
• Measure samples and document all measurements and styling / construction differences based off of tech pack.
• Run a fit session with multiple designers or attendees
• Identify, improve, correct and relay fit issues through written comments and illustrations to overseas factories where English is a second language.
• Manage product development through each aspect of fit & development
• Manage fit model schedules/invoices
• Create & update tech packs and BOM’s
• Create final graded specs based off each individual style’s properties
• Review patterns and comment as needed.
YOU'LL NEED TO ...
• Maintain new proto sample log in & preparation (checking matrix, pulling and reviewing technical packages)
• Prepare TOP samples to our Internet division for e-shop photo-shoots.
• Track and maintain all fit samples.
• Review weekly TAC & Adhere to and communicate product development time lines.
• Office/Administrative work (as needed)
