The Zumiez distribution facility located in Corona, Calif. is looking for a Logistics Financial Analyst to join the team.
Overview:
Support the logistics team in supply chain finance and accounting tasks. Primary functions of processing transportation invoices to be paid, ensuring financial statements are correct and providing analysis to explain variances and trends. Provide customer service to internal partners with cost effective shipment routing and analysis. Work closely with brokers and shipping teams to enable fast, accurate and cost effective domestic and international shipping.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform clerical and administrative tasks such as: data entry, inventory control, oral and written communication, reporting, basic inventory control systems and problem solving
* Responsible for GL coding of invoices and ensuring payment to service providers is kept up-to-date
* Support in creating annual budget with regular updates to control transportation costs
* Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting needed to explain results, identify trends and make recommendations on how to improve service and decrease cost
* Support regular reporting, as well as ad hoc reporting needs to identify opportunities and support projects and financial modeling
* Perform job duties according to standard operating procedures and within standard productivity measurements
* Process knowledge/data to solve issues and engage leadership and escalate to ensure corrective action is taken when process issues are discovered
* Participate in ongoing training and sharing knowledge with others
