Objective 
The Sr. Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is an essential business partner who oversees the day-to-day operations within the Human Resource Department in alignment with business needs and priorities. The HRG will coordinate the implementation of services, policies, and programs and will advise Managers and the HR team about Human Resources issues related to the business. The HRG will also play a pivotal role in expanding the HR presence throughout the organization and driving culture shifts through targeted initiatives. Working closely with the Vice President Talent, this role will create and implement cutting-edge practices to enhance recruiting, employee development and ensure compliance.
This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to organizational needs, employee goodwill and the overall needs of the business.

Essential responsibilities:
 
HR Administration
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group and with business leaders to develop solutions, programs, and policies
Advise employees and managers on HR related policies, programs and procedures
Collaborate with department leadership to execute HR processes

Partners with HR Team on various projects and initiatives
Functions as a key member of the HR team working on the continued development of HR practices with an emphasis on continuous improvement and high performance.
Assists in the administration and coordination of various benefits plans


 
Business partnership on the employee lifecycle
Engages in strong collaboration with hiring managers to drive recruiting for the organization
Maintains data on recruitment activity and attrition within the organization 
Tracks and maintains personnel requisitions and works with management to ensure accuracy of staffing levels
Assist in ensuring smooth onboarding for new hires
Work with managers on progressive discipline plans and terminations
Conducts exit interviews to aid in retention strategy
Develop strategies to increase workforce readiness, retention and engagement

Coordinates and provides coaching on performance reviews ensuring reviews are done at a high level and timely


Perform various HR process training for Employees and Managers
 
Employment law and employee relations
Coach and consult with leaders to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Support employee relations, including investigations of complaints/concerns
Assist with planning, execution, and communication of Employee Recognition programs
Support the planning, communication and implementation of company events
 
Compliance
Ensure regulatory compliance pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees; collaborate with legal counsel when necessary.
Ensure legal Compliance with detailed reporting and risk analysis
 
Additional areas
Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of company policies, code of ethics, mission, vision and values   

Assists in driving initiatives to help foster a positive company culture
Advises management on requests for workplace accommodations
Demonstrate a commitment to customer service by ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries and requests from employees
Dedicated to a high level of confidentiality
Perform other duties as required and assigned


 
Required skills:
General knowledge of employment laws and practices OR
thorough knowledge of human resources practices, procedures and laws & regulations
Experience in the administration of benefits, recruiting and compensation programs

Demonstrated experience in payroll reporting and HR analytics
Thorough understanding of 401k administration and preparation of 5500 audit requirements


Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment in decision-making
Ability to closely partner with managers to obtain successful outcomes and move the business forward
Ability to lead with a consultative approach, and provide guidance and advice when needed
Proficient computer skills to include the MS office suite, Applicant Tracking Systems and experience with Payroll/Benefit systems
Effective oral and written communication
Strong interpersonal and coaching skills
Demonstrated high level of confidentiality
Requires 5-7 years of HR experience
 
Travel requirements:
Occasional travel
 
Supervisory responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Receptionist/Office Coordinator
 
Required education and experience
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent years of experience.
