To be clear, we evaluate all candidates on their demonstrated commitment to these values.Overview of roleBased in Louisville, Colorado and reporting to the President, the role will oversee all wholesale activities for PEARL iZUMi, will be a member of the senior leadership team, and will act as a trusted advisor to the President. The primary responsibility of the Director is to lead the development and execution of the brand’s wholesale strategy. In addition, in partnership with the Director Global Retail, this role will be responsible for establishing and bringing to life the brand’s overall aligned distribution strategy. Success in this role requires Sales leadership to be aligned with the company’s creative and focused growth strategy, enhance business performance, and support the long-term strategic direction of the company. The Director will be responsible for presenting new strategic initiatives, status updates, impact assessments, and risk assessments, as well as ensuring execution of critical initiatives. Key areas of responsibility include sales planning/strategies and realizing sales goals, as well as developing marketing plans, promotional activity, and product presentations. This brand alignment element is crucial, as the role must elevate the story (the brand platform) through all critical touch points.Love of cycling, passion for performance, and a desire to make a difference are key traits the ideal candidate should possess. Essential Responsibilities
⏵ Develop, implement, and manage 3-5 year sales strategy, and meet and exceed sales goals.
⏵ Work in conjunction with Shimano Sales Manager(s) to understand Shimano initiatives as they relate to PEARL iZUMi, leverage synergies, and mitigate any conflicts.
⏵ Increase the distribution of existing PEARL iZUMi products as well as the placement of new products as they become available.
⏵ Conduct ongoing detailed analysis of sales, market, and competitor activity, and provide regular updates: weekly sales updates, monthly progress toward territory goals, and quarterly presentation of strategic plans.
⏵ Effectively design and manage sales force structure, and manage field sales representatives as necessary. Work with all sales representatives to secure orders that support sales and promotional plans.
⏵ Work directly with team and sales representatives on all GTM activities, including sales training and mentorship, visual merchandising, creative problem solving, and developing effective and impactful customer relationships.
⏵ Provide product direction and selling strategies to sales team.
⏵ Coordinate and contribute to resolving day-to-day issues including but not limited to availability concerns, shipping issues, credit problems, and accounting issues directly with customers and sales representatives.
⏵ Provide thought leadership and input for future product line development and brand direction.
⏵ Lead the strategy and coordination of brand sales meetings.
