Overview of role: The Senior Designer – Brand Identity is responsible for creating a compelling visual brand presentation and maintaining continuity across all consumer and trade touch points. This person will evolve the look and feel of our website, email marketing programs, social media, event presentation, and internal product launches and ensure there’s a strong visual link between all programs. As our brand progresses, they will also be responsible for updating brand guidelines to ensure that international partners and external vendors understand how to properly present PEARL iZUMi. They will manage an external production team of contractors and the creative process to produce assets that power all consumer communication and create an emotional connection to our brand. Job Qualifications:
⏵ 10+ years’ experience as a designer with strong people and project management skills.
⏵ A high level of professional skills and the ability to lead the design and development of a wide variety of digital and print projects.
⏵ Familiarity with online user experience design.
⏵ Ability to work well cross-functionally between departments.
⏵ Expert in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver.
⏵ Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
⏵ Personal connection to bikes strongly preferred.
⏵ Must be well connected to external design and production resources to deliver creative work. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
⏵ Manage all creative design for consumer communications, including website, email marketing program, social media, event presence, and internal product launches.
⏵ Hire and manage contract production designers to meet all creative visual communication needs for the company.
⏵ Provide design direction and support to outside contractors to ensure that a consistent brand message is maintained.
⏵ Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, including developing schedules and estimates, and creating and maintaining detailed and accurate job files.
⏵ Create and design graphics to support the overall Brand and seasonal campaign objectives, (advertisements, promos, training materials, logos, large format signs, etc.)
⏵ Willingness to roll up the sleeves and produce assets as needed.
⏵ Communicate and collaborate with the Brand Manager to ensure company standards and client preferences are fulfilled.
⏵ A key member of the creative communication process with Brand Manager for campaign development and execution.
⏵ Oversee or directly prepare and coordinate materials being printed with outside vendors, including scheduling, preparation of files for print, reviewing proofs, and overall coordination of printing process and installation dependent on the project.
⏵ Schedule and participate in meetings with clients to review creative execution.
