Overview of role: The Development Manager will manage the development team translating designs into commercialized products for all categories, including Apparel, Essentials and Footwear. This cross functional role will work with multiple stakeholders to proactively to market. Accountable for reporting status of styles in development for each season, maintaining timelines, meeting and exceeding both social purpose and landed cost targets, maintaining fit and working on other initiatives as assigned and for the Company’s product. Job Qualifications:
⏵ Bachelor’s Degree required.
⏵ Proven team leadership experience in challenging roles and environments. Overall 8 years minimum related work experience in the sporting goods industry, specializing in product development, design and / or marketing.
⏵ Minimum 6 years development experience developing apparel ranges for the US, Europe. Extensive experience in bill of materials, cost analysis, sourcing, managing staff of developers, and budgeting.
⏵ Experience with Asian & European vendors.
⏵ Demonstrated experience in managing product, meeting landed cost targets and operating expenses.
⏵ Strong written, verbal and quantitative skills.
⏵ Working knowledge of personal computers with experience in the use of such programs as Word, Excel, Outlook, Centric PLM experience preferred.
⏵ Ability & willingness to independently Travel both domestically and internationally.
⏵ Excellent oral, written and computer (Microsoft Windows – Word and Excel) communication skills for interaction with both internal and external customers.
