Overview of role:
PEARL iZUMi’s Online Merchandiser will be responsible for supporting the brand’s digital presentation by assisting and implementing innovative merchandising and digital strategies in a compelling, measurable and effective manner. Additionally, this person will own product data and seamless presentation to consumers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, critical thinker who can maximize online sales and is passionate about giving our consumer a unique and engaging on-site experience.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
This position will drive continuous improvement and excellence in all aspects of PEARL iZUMi’s branded digital presence. Among the duties this person will perform are the following:
Collaborate, partner and provide support to digital marketing division as well as with cross-functional teams impacted by digital strategy
Maintain seasonal digital GTM calendar and execute product launches and promotional activities
Build and manage on-site merchandising assets, products and collection pages to support the GTM brand stories and products
Analyze inventory, site analytics and sales reporting to inform merchandising decisions
Manage and maintain product data catalog
Execute continual website maintenance checks on products and catalog
Leverage AB testing and personalization to continuously improve KPI’s and customer site experience
Optimize internal search, sort rules, product placement and recommendations across the website
Aid in UAT testing for website production releases
Support Digital Project Manager with development agency communication, project enhancement trafficking, and relationships with external website product technologies
Other:
No backend work is required, this is not an IT or development position
Must be able to travel, 1-2 trips annual
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
2+ years web/eCommerce merchandising
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and tracking tasks
Ability to learn programs, platforms, and systems quickly and independently
Ability to make decisions in high pressure situations
Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel
Attention to detail
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Must be willing to collaborate and share ideas within the team
Thorough understanding of internet operations
Experience with Google Analytics
A passion for serving customers, both internal and external
BonusQualifications:
Experience with Shopify Plus
Experience with JDE/AS400 sales platform
Experience in the outdoor industry
Experience in the bike industry is a plus
Aptitude to talk about outdoor hard and soft goods at a technical level
SEO and SEM a plus, but not necessary
Knowledge of basic HTML and Photoshop
Fluency in one of our website supported languages
