Obey is looking for a Human Resources Generalist.

The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource department. This person carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration and broker relationships, payroll and time keeping, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance.

Essential Functions:
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
• Manage, organize and implement comprehensive HR management programs that include, but are not limited to employee relations, recruitment efforts, benefit administration, and safety programs.
• Provide support to managers and employees regarding employee relations.
• Initiate and monitor the status of worker’s compensation claims and injuries.
• On and off-board employees.
• Oversee and administer employee leaves of absence.
• Complete bi-weekly payroll and audit time cards regularly, ensuring compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws.
• Respond to unemployment claims and audits.
• Ensure company compliance with all Federal, State, and local requirements for reporting, safety, worker’s compensation, unemployment and benefit programs.
• Recommend and develop routine coaching, counseling and guidance for managers in all HR related matters.
• Document employee relation issues and complaints, and ensure accurate, timely resolution and thorough documentation.
• Immediate response and documentation of progressive disciplinary action.Complete and conduct verbal and written warnings.
• Coordinate and execute employee annual review program.
• Review and update employee handbook as needed in compliance with state and federal laws.
• Develop and maintain job descriptions and organizational charts.
• Engage in other HR Generalist duties as needed or assigned.
