As a Human Resources Business Partner, Manager for Wolverine Worldwide you will be the primary Human Resources Business Partner for our Keds brand and the Wolverine Childrens Group based in Waltham, MA. You will provide support to leaders and associates in our Waltham office while supporting the overall strategic initiatives of the organization. This role serves as a consultant and advisor and is responsible for the execution of Human Resources initiatives including talent management, performance management, change management, creating a culture of inclusivity, and employee relations.

Primary Duties ! Facilitates effective communication, leads through change, and fosters cultural progress.
! Fosters organizational and operational alignment between employees and management within the business group.
! Acts as a consultant to the leadership team in matters of employee relations, talent management, learning and development, culture, talent acquisition, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives.
! In collaboration with HR and business leadership, supports the delivery and execution of HR solutions to support the business objectives.
! Partners with business leaders to make Wolverine Worldwide an amazing place to work by creating a diverse and inclusive employee experience.
! Supports the development of a talent pipeline through robust capability and competency development, as well as resource and succession planning.
! Coordinates talent initiatives that result in the attraction, selection, and retention of talent across all hourly and salary positions within the functional business unit.
! Responsible for identifying training needs and working in partnership with the Learning and Organizational Development team to design and implement impactful learning and development opportunities.
! In collaboration with HR leadership, develops, and recommends plans of action to achieve business solutions. Utilizes reports, networks, subject matter knowledge and best in class practices to formulate recommendations.
! Coordinates with HR leadership and Total Rewards to create and implement programs that meet the needs and expectations of designated business group/s.
! Partners with Health and Safety team to ensure COVID-19 protocols and communications are in place and adopted.
! Ensures compliance and alignment with federal, state, and local laws and company HR policies and practices.
! Performs duties consistent with the companys AAP/EEO goals and policies.
! Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required ! Bachelors degree. Specialized HR certifications such as SPHR or PHR certifications preferred
! At least 5 years of relevant HR generalist experience
! Knowledge of federal/country and state/province employment laws/regulations
! Proficient in the use of computers, HR Systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
! Demonstrated ability to successfully manage conflict and use good judgement.
! Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, up to an including senior levels
! Strong relationship-building & team collaboration skills
! Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze business metrics and external business conditions
! Tenacious and adaptable, demonstrating resiliency through challenging situations
! People management preferred
! Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
! Successfully navigates a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
! Strong business acumen including ability to balance business needs with organizational expectations
! Ability to creatively problem solve with an understanding of short and long-term decision impact
! Excellent oral and written communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office and or warehouse environment. Some travel required.
