General Function
In 1958, Hush Puppies recognized the need for comfortable shoes for the workweek and the weekend. The brand was expanded internationally in 1959 and we now operate in more than 120 countries around the world with over 650 stores. Our basset hound, the Hush Puppies dog, has a become a globally recognized icon, and we are proud to make shoes that are extremely comfortable, but also stylish and colorful. The Product Line Manager is responsible for creating market-leading products that enable the brand to grow and meet business goals by evolving, developing and organizing the product line.

Primary Duties

! Use competitive data, trend and innovative ideas to create a comprehensive assortment planning strategy for product line(s).
! Present line concepts, product and strategic vision to management, retailers, sales associates and peers at a wide range of formal and informal meetings.
! Evolves the line architecture to match business growth goals and objectives. Works closely with other PLMs, to assure harmony of the product lines.
! Develops and maintains an understanding of the global market needs to influence product direction and open new opportunities.
! Analyze consumer and competitive trends in the market and bring alluring, quality product to market that engages and resonates with our consumers
! Own the successful execution of the line plan architecture in partnership with the Sr. Product Line Manager
! Connect with leadership regularly and help drive strategy implementation
! Monitor the creation and development of new products, including performing ongoing market research, participating in the product decision making process, and measuring product success.
! Create & present business cases for product extensions and product enhancements.
! Performs duties consistent with the Companys AAP/EEO goals and policies.
! Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required ! Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
! 5+ years experience in footwear
! Solutions-oriented, proactive, and open to new ideas
! Someone who demonstrates a passion for product, trend, and innovation that will lead to crafting outstanding product that ladders up to our strategy
! Ability to provide pricing recommendations from a product development & competitive landscape perspective.
! Ability to guide teams towards project goals and drive accountability to hit deadlines
! A growth mindset and a strong strategic approach to the business
! Professional written, verbal, and presentation skills (attentive listener, articulate speaker).
! roficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
! Ability to manage several projects, simultaneously.
! Proven working knowledge of footwear industry, including technology and product development, materials, trends and the overall marketplace.
! Strong product knowledge and understanding of global markets and competitors.
! Strong business acumen, merchandising and analytical skill sets.
! Must be able to follow-through and have strong attention to detail.
! Ability to effectively communicate, including the ability to manage strong and effective cross functional relationships within the organization.
WORKING CONDITIONSNormal office environment. Some travel may be required.
