• Lead Distribution Associate Job Locations US-KY-LOUISVILLE Brand/Group Distribution Job Function Supply Chain Min. Exp.(Yrs) 1 Type Full Time General Function The Lead Distribution Associate assists the Distribution Operation Supervisor in leading and coordinating daily workload and staffing in a way that maximizes effectiveness and efficiency of production, ensures accuracy, and order fulfillment for the distribution center operation.  The Lead Distribution Associate possesses excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and organizational skills, a positive attitude, excellent motivational abilities, and is able to work in a team environment.   *2nd or 3rd Shift available Primary Duties • Responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming product, picking and filing orders, packing and shipping orders • Repack, re-box, and relabel cases per customer instructions • Inspects product for defects and restores to original condition • Assists Supervisor in leading teams, completing administrative work, and continuously improving methods in all processing areas/functions • Ensures team is properly utilizing established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) • Supports Supervisor by training new employees and developing current employees • Reports defective materials • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition while following prescribed safety regulations • Cross-trains in other areas of the building and frequently lends support to other departments • Performing other duties as required/assigned by Supervisor/Manager • Performing duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required   • High School Diploma or GED required; relevant secondary education helpful • Minimum 1-2 years of related experience • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and bend on a frequent basis. • Must be able to use proper techniques to lift up to 50 pounds • Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements. • Flexible schedule required; able to shift priorities easily to accommodate deadlines, business needs, and requirements • Basic computer skills required and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Excel and Word) • Adequate knowledge of distribution center computer systems and programs • Effectively communicates information and responds to questions from various levels within the organization • May be required to obtain PIT certification   WORKING CONDITIONS • Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions • May be required to work at elevated heights   The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills which may be required.
