We leave work each day knowing we’ve done everything to make runners’ lives just a little bit better.   The Associate Product Line Manager (APLM) will work closely with Product Management leaders and be responsible for helping to grow the men’s and women’s business through business planning, project development and sales analysis. In addition this role will work in strategic partnership with sales, understanding past SMU business, sales trends, and close to market opportunities targeting quality brand growth. Primary Duties • Assist in implementing a special make-up (SMU) strategy and process with a view to driving incremental volume to our largest key accounts. • Help to create and implement a strategy to deliver seasonal product offerings for the close out and tier 3 channels that drive volume while maintaining product integrity. • Work with Design and Development to follow a strategy that delivers seasonally right product to our big accounts to fill gaps in the line and capitalize on fast moving consumer trends. • Own and create a summary of historical SMU business by account, SKU, and IDD to strategize future SMU needs. • Identify margin enhancement opportunities by scouring the mainline and identifying ways of increasing IMUs, raising retail prices and aligning between genders. • Communication and dialogue with sales to understand business trend, business gaps, and opportunities for close to market growth projects. • Understand both the product creation calendar and the sales order calendar to anticipate sales needs, begin projects on a timely basis, and work to be buy-ready for target IDD dates. • Assist with identifying international exclusive opportunities and follow a strategy that drives growth while maintaining SKU management metrics. • Support the in-line teams by owning the sample ordering process; place purchase orders for all advance, bulk, international, wear test, photo shoot, and extreme (PR) samples. • Lead the maintenance of sample storage by creating a schedule, communicating to PM/Design teams, and delegating action. • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies. • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years’ experience; experience in fashion footwear preferred.• Strong work ethic and an interest in interactive work with various disciplines.• Autonomous and self-motivated; process driven.• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Strong organization skills and the ability to work on a variety of projects and shift gears midstream.• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.   WORKING CONDITIONSNormal office environment.
