The Industrial Engineer maintains the distribution base plus incentive system and monitors activities to ensure proper application of incentive system with safe and efficient workplace layouts and practices.  Manages and administrates key distribution center hardware and software systems.  Facilitates continuous improvement efforts within the distribution centers.  Primary Duties • Analyzes and develops new and existing standards using historical data, time studies and frequencies to maintain incentive systems • Conducts presentation meetings with hourly employees to inform them of rate implementation or changes • Recommends revisions to methods of operation, equipment layout or other changes to increase production or improve standards • Maintains key facility software configuration where applicable  • Applies statistical methods and performs mathematical calculations to determine staff requirements and production standards • Communicates KPI reporting for management review, action, and control • Develop labor utilization standards to promote efficient staff and facility utilization for multiple operations • Evaluates the precision of payroll information and recommends procedure improvements to reduce variance and increase efficiency • Drafts written job descriptions for each operation to ensure standard operating procedures are followed and reviews each job description with manager • Administrates the UMT Plus Time Study software package • Maintains the facility layout • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies. • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (Industrial preferred).    • 2+ years experience in industrial or distribution setting preferred. • Excellent math skills. • Problem solving and critical thinking skills. • Experience with Manhattan WM/LM systems preferred. • Good communication skills with ability to communicate with all levels of employees. • Self-motivated and able to work independently. • Demonstrated computer proficiency, including use of Excel, Word and AutoCAD WORKING CONDITIONS Normal office environment.  Some travel required.   The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills which may be required.
