Wolverine Worldwide’s continued success is driven by our ability to stay true to our simple mission: we empower, engage and inspire our consumers – every step of the way.    The Senior Indirect Procurement Analyst reports directly into the Indirect Procurement Manager and will be responsible to work with other Business Unit Owners throughout the company to facilitate, develop and manage the RFP process for indirect spend on products and services. This responsibility involves gaining and applying knowledge of the products and services purchased by other areas of the company in bringing best value to Wolverine in product selection, quality, service and pricing.  This position will champion significant projects and be seen as a specialist on complex indirect procurement initiatives.  This position will also be responsible for reporting and tracking savings and presentations to management on a periodic basis.  Primary Duties • Lead the development of creative procurement strategies while designing and aligning procurement processes and policies with business requirements. • Develop templates for Supplier Management process (scorecards, questionnaires, supplier meetings, annual performance reviews, etc.) • Assist with the development of annual Indirect Sourcing Plan. • Execute the Strategic Sourcing process with other areas of the company and provide them with guidance, defined processes, developed purchasing strategies, project updates and reporting. • Responsible for minimizing cost and maximizing value in the procurement process by applying best / leading practices across sourcing, new / nontraditional supplier development, negotiations, bench mark modeling, and other process improvements and facilitate their implementation. • Responsible to ensure compliance with policies and programs in alignment with sourcing strategy; and that appropriate audit trails are embedded in procurement programs, for internal audit and performance management purposes. • Coordinate and meet with vendors to review their proposals and negotiate pricing, vendor terms, conversion allowances, growth programs, warranties, parts pricing and service agreements to mitigate risk and drive value to Wolverine. • Responsible to track and report on savings, make recommendations, award business, draft and issue agreements, implement new programs and resolve vendor disputes. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendor partners to facilitate best value and to reduce costs. • Analyze and evaluate performance data from less-than-perfect sources, and to construct and develop improvement programs. • Position requires a highly self-motivated team player who can work effectively with management, business unit personnel, and with approved vendors. • Ability to influence and lead teams in achieving or exceeding challenging goals. • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies. • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required • Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, MBA preferred • 5 - 7 years Strategic Sourcing experience • Strong Indirect Category Management expertise in the areas of: Marketing, Logistics, or IT • Proficient experience in Contract Negotiations and seeking aligned resolutions • Deals with conflicts, confrontations, disagreements in a positive manner, which minimizes personal impact • Project management skills required • Ability to mitigate risk and resolve conflict • Experience with Statement of Work (SOW) and contract review processes • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends • Proficient with the development of complex cost modeling techniques • Effective Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and SharePoint • ERP experience – SAP/Ariba preferred • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills including facilitation expertise • Ability to interact and present to all levels of management • Experience with spend analysis and RFx tools • Proven track record of quality decision making • Highly motivated and results orientated • Experience in planning and executing processes   WORKING CONDITIONS Normal office environment.  Occasional travel required.   Committed to a diverse workforce, we are an Equal Opportunity Employer (Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled).
