Wolverine Worldwide’s continued success is driven by our ability to stay true to our simple mission: we empower, engage and inspire our consumers – every step of the way.   This Direct Mail Marketing Specialist will administer a large volume of direct mail initiatives that will include tasks and responsibilities related to the development, coordination, implementation and analysis for our direct mail marketing channel– from creative brief to in-home delivery.  They are responsible for owning and maintaining detailed project plans; keeping internal and external partners on task, and projects on schedule; partnering with the print management on production logistics; and keeping all parties updated on each program’s progress. Primary Duties • Compiles, analyzes, develops, and implements direct mail strategies for Wolverine brands that include circulation plans that will increase catalog/direct mail campaign results in sales, profitability and customer acquisition to ensure growth as part of our omni channel marketing initiative. • Manages the relationship between the direct mail team and all other departments to establish and evaluate project priorities. • Forecast direct mail performance and provide post campaign analytics; evaluate the performance of consumer segments over time, predict long term value and present key performance indicator reports to stakeholders. • Creates and owns detailed project schedules and set deadlines for various stages of all direct mail projects, and relay to internal stakeholders. • Oversees direct mail programs, processes and materials to insure effective on time results building relationships with outside vendors. • Fulfills requests made by internal and external partners as it relates to direct mail • Tracks and evaluates direct mail effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvements. • Completes all direct mail Campaign Requests to ensure the planned circulation aligns with the campaign’s audience segmentation strategy. • Maintains regular contact with commercial leads/internal clients regarding current project status; use independent judgement and solves issues that may arise. • Adjusts job schedules as project demands change, and ensure stakeholders are aware of changes to the overall timeline. • Manages proofreading and the approval process of creative work. • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies. • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required • The successful candidate will possess a BS in Business, Marketing, or Communications and has a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant work experience. • Understanding of graphic design processes and specifications (ideally for print and/or digital projects) including design, production procedures, and photography. • Capable of starting projects and driving to completion. • Ability to multi-task, organize and collaborate with several different teams and departments. • Excellent oral and written communication skills required for effective project and vendor management. • Enthusiasm for getting “hands on” in collaborative team environments. • Able to operate independently with minimal supervision. • Experience managing complex project schedules a plus. • Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
