Wolverine Worldwide’s continued success is driven by our ability to stay true to our simple mission: we empower, engage and inspire our consumers – every step of the way.   The Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist will help build and support the company’s evolving corporate social responsibility platform (CSR) and community engagement programs by focusing on Wolverine Worldwide’s commitment to help fuel individual well-being, strengthen communities and protect the planet.  This position will assist leadership in developing, implementing, maintaining and evaluating all aspects of Wolverine Worldwide’s CSR Platform.  This is a key position that directly contributes to the success of WWW’s CSR initiatives by executing key programs and campaigns, owning the employee engagement and reporting functions, and building key non-governmental organization partnerships.  Primary Duties • Identify, collaborate, develop, measure, communicate and leverage CSR initiatives. • Formalize enterprise-level CSR policy and universal tracking process. • Develop strategies and tools to communicate CSR initiatives to executive team, board of directors, consumers, customers, communities, associates and shareholders. • Responsible for overseeing enterprise-wide CSR council. • Report ROI on CSR initiatives based on data tracking metrics and analysis. • Research and recommend data tracking system for key performance indicators, oversee implementation, training, metric tracking and disclosure of KPI’s to drive future goals and efficiencies. • Assist with the content development of the annual sustainability report. • Continuously research and monitor best in class CSR/sustainability programs and report best practices that can be applied at WWW to drive the continuous improvement of the CSR Platform. • Stay informed of the evolving regulatory, policy, and market landscape around sustainability to provide an organizational resource as a subject matter expert.  • Prepare and submit annual CSR reporting to including, but not limited to, the Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. E&S Disclosure Quality score, the Global Reporting Initiative, UN Global Compact for Sustainable Development Goals, and other external environmental reporting frameworks. • Identify, evaluate, build consensus around, and drive the achievement of 3rd party verifications and certifications related to sustainability performance.  • Assist community engagement council serving as a liaison with agency partners and providing project management for the team. • Develop and maintain the community engagement calendar. • Manage volunteer recruitment efforts for external agency partners • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies. • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in environmental studies, business sustainability or a related topic; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  • 3-5 years of related sustainable business, communications, corporate social responsibility and/or project management experience required. • Knowledge of business sustainability issues including key environmental and social risks. • Knowledge and understanding of key CSR reporting methodologies. • Ability to multi-task and move quickly on a number of initiatives. • A strong capacity to drive initiatives to completion with minimal direct supervision.  • Ability to accept change and new inputs that might drive work in a new direction. • Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills. • Strong research, data analysis and experience developing processes, procedures and strategies for collecting data.  • Capable of building successful working relationships across the business throughout the communities the company serves to become a value-added partner.   WORKING CONDITIONS Normal office environment.  Some travel may be required.
