The Bottle/Hard Good Supply Planner position creates and executes product replenishment strategies based on forecasted inventory requirements using the demand signals provided by the demand planning team. In addition, for “Make to Order”, “Build to Spec”, and/or “Special Make-Up” customer orders that are one time purchases, the Supply Planner ensures the right product is procured on schedule. The Supply Planner acts as a backstop to the Demand Planners to ensure product being procured is necessary and timely in support of customer requirements. Supply Planners carefully monitor safety stocks and participate in setting these with the objective of optimizing CamelBak’s On-time Delivery in Full metric while simultaneously achieving CamelBak’s inventory turns/working capital goals. Supply Planners will partner with the Product Operations Managers supporting key suppliers. Together they work to understand supplier capacity constraints, supply upside opportunities, and work to level load factory orders when necessary, all with the goal of ensuring the right level of inventory is on hand at the correct worldwide distribution location when the customer wants it. One of the supply planner’s primary responsibilities is to ensure supply risk and opportunities are identified in advance and managed accordingly. In addition, Supply Planners partner with Customer Service to quickly resolve and exceptions where available supply does not meet Customer demand.

Process Related Responsibilities

• Creates consolidated supply plan for in-line and new products. For new products, works hand-in-hand with the Product Operations manager to prioritize PO’s that mirror ramp plan capacity. Works closely with Customer Service to ensure fulfillment of specific customer orders are properly prioritized.
• Collaborates with Product Operations to support new product launches by working hand-in hand to ensure all raw materials are available to fulfill production launch requirements.
• Negotiates with Demand Planners and Product Operations to create a baseline supply plan that meets the demand and safety stock levels established by the Demand Planner and that can be executed by the factory.
• Executes required inventory plans by maintaining optimal inventory levels at minimized costs while supporting on-time-in-full customer deliveries.
• Monitors Oracle Supplier Purchase Order acceptance and delivery and works with Product Operations to resolve issues.
• Collaborates with CamelBak’s Philippines Product Operations team to monitor factory performance and ensure Purchase Order deliveries, projected completion dates, and delivery quantities are expeditiously maintained in Oracle
• Monitors aging PO’s and ensures they are either executed or closed as appropriate.
• Works in partnership with Customer Service to assess any gaps in supply and develops corrective action plans in concert with Product Operations.
• Collaborates with Product Operations to maintain the supplier capacity plans
• Monitors the inventory purchase process executed by the Philippines team.
• Responsible for understanding and maintaining lead times for all sku’s, establishing planner codes that ensures that product supply/demand is systemically reviewed on an ongoing basis.
• Participates in the Sales and Operations Planning process, providing outlook and resolution for product shortages
• Works hand-in-hand with Customer Service and Logistics to provide inventory visibility on critical shipments for critical customers
• Ensures all appropriate sku’s have the correct planner and bills of distribution within Oracle
• KPI and Performance Related Diagnostics Responsibilities

Education/Experience:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Focused degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a supply planner role using a major ERP system. Oracle experience is strongly preferred
• Consumer products industry background is preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms is required.
• Analytical thinking with a solid understanding of the statistical and forecasting techniques is preferred.
• Ability to utilize influencing skills and to forge collaboration across all levels of an organization is required.
• Clear and articulate verbal and written communicator
• APICS certification is a plus

Computer Skills:

Must be experienced with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. A strong understanding of Excel is essential.
