Camelbak Products, a designer and manufacturer of personal hydration systems for the recreational, military and industrial safety markets, seeks a mechanical design engineer to become a valuable member of the Research and Development group.

Major Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer products from concept to production and beyond.
• Maintain technical edge by studying new materials and processes.
• Assist in creation of development timelines.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Quality Control and Operations groups at all stages of the development process.
• Assist in creation and maintenance of product requirement documents and test/quality plans.
• Perform product testing in both lab and contextual environments

Job Requirements:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• An absolute minimum of 4 years of design experience.
• Proven ability to conceptualize, design and engineer new and innovative products.
• Experience with plastic part design utilizing a variety of production techniques (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc)
• High level of 3D CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects with little supervision.
• Previous interaction with Industrial Design a plus.
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively both verbally and graphically.
• Established ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced, creative environment.
