This Product Developer role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is excited to own and optimize the development and execution of Color, Material, and Finish in our hard goods line.There is a ton of opportunity to work collaboratively across the business, ensuring that CamelBak stays a rad place to work. This role is based in our Petaluma headquarters, and will require some time per week in the office to keep your eyes and hands on product (but we are hybrid and flexible). There is occasional overseas and domestic travel!

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for managing the development and execution of Color, Material, Finish on all CamelBak hard goods products, in effort to deliver to market on cost, on goal, and on time.

Major Responsibilities:

Manage CMF development and prototyping process for all Camelbak hard goods projects across multiple business channels.
Ensure product color and finish application accuracy and consistency through sample review and analysis, detailed documentation, and proactive communication.
Partner with hard goods colorant suppliers and manufacturing teams on color chip and custom graphics initiation and execution, project timeline deadlines, and CMF development challenges.
Effectively manage CMF development for evolving hard goods SMU business, through quick-turn prototyping, complex spec sheet management, and detailed graphic artwork reviews.
Create and maintain complex multi-layered product Bill of Materials in PLM system at style, sku, and material level.
Oversee development and pre-line sample process through collaboration with engineering team, factory team, and product management team.
Actively participate in product core team meetings to communicate project challenges and solutions, mitigate risks, and coordinate actions with cross functional partners.
Partner with design, product management, and engineering teams on cost effective implementation of sustainable color and finish applications into hard goods designs.
Partner with engineering team on new CMF application DVT testing in a timely manner.
Create, implement, and manage factory and supplier development process improvements that increase workflow efficiency.
Partner with Product Operations and QA teams to troubleshoot manufacturing and production issues.
Consult on development needs, deliverables, and timelines during hard goods project calendar builds.
Utilize project management tools to accurately track CMF development against given timelines.
