About the job
The role of Logistics Coordinator-Action Sports is to provide exemplary service to both internal and external customers. Respond to inquiries from customers, factories & carriers to resolve issues and provide the required information. Accurately prepares documents for shipments in required timeframe.
Responsibilities
• Arrange and confirm the delivery of air drop shipments to New Era’s North America customers through cross dock facilities in California and Illinois
• Cleanse commercial invoice and packing list according to brand partners PO's for customs clearance on FOB shipments
• Support and have a complete understanding of the ocean drop shipments to New Era's North America customers through the California cross dock facility
• Communicate with Production/Sourcing/Customer Service Department to confirm shipping/delivery dates, freight forwarder information, unit count, costs and shipping locations
• Provide daily pre-booking approvals to overseas factories for key accounts and DDP/FOB orders
• Confirm daily shipments against the information listed in SAP for booking recaps from New Era's selected freight forwarders
• Analyze, evaluate and select spot quotes from New Era's selected freight forwarders for air shipments
• Work with New Era’s selected freight forwarders to provide best in class performance and ensure on time shipment and delivery
• Directly communicate with New Era’s factories, establishing a working relationship with shipping/operations personnel to provide feedback to and from customers as well as other departments within New Era
• Create and maintain reports for internal use, brand partners and freight forwarders
