P.J. Salvage is a contemporary lifestyle brand specializing in sleepwear, loungewear & accessories.
We’re located in Irvine and currently looking for Technical Designer to add to our dynamic team.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Designer concentrates on product fit and construction from initial concept to production, while maintaining a positive working relationship with cross functional teams and overseas factories. In this position you will work closely with the Design and Product Development teams to ensure our fit standard is maintained and accurate measurements from initial development to production are ensured. This is a full-time, in-house position that requires 4-5 years of previous experience in a similar role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with designers to establish block specs
• Create grade rules
• Set up construction standards
• Coordinate weekly fittings with fit model, designers and product developers
• Measure samples and create spec and comment sheets
• Create accurate, up-to-date tech packs
• Communicate with factories via email
• Review acceptable tolerances with production manager & QC based on individual fabric performance
• Make sure that garments are fit and approved in time to meet SMS and production calendar due dates
