General Summary
The Global Product Compliance Lead is responsible for leading the development and execution of our global product compliance strategy and process to ensure that all Patagonia products meet safety and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will define, create, and lead a cross functional Compliance Steering Committee, consisting of representatives from Quality, Legal, Material Development, and Product Development. You will also be responsible for maintaining a key internal and external networks and ensuring compliance related awareness on existing and emerging compliance topics across our industry and marketplaces while educating and coordinating closely with relevant internal functional subject matter experts to define Patagonia’s policies and approaches to ensure timely and effective product compliance across all of product lines and geographical marketplaces.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and implement a global product compliance program that ensures all Patagonia products meet safety regulatory requirements globally.
Leading the Product Compliance Steering Committee, the Global Product Compliance Lead will coordinate information & updates about Global requirements and specifications.
Compliance Lead creates procedures and guidelines to ensure that governmental and industry regulations are met in both international and domestic markets.
The Compliance Lead will support the Product Safety engineer with coordinating Product testing utilizing 3rd party laboratories, and the analysis, preparation, and submissions of Product certification technical files to Notified bodies.
Serve as a subject matter expert on product compliance for Patagonia stakeholders, including internal leaders and teams, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.

Experience You Bring:
8+ years of Apparel industry experience in Product Development, Quality, and/or Manufacturing/Engineering 
Strong understanding of global product compliance regulations and standards, including but not limited to REACH, CPSIA, and Prop 65.
Direct experience with Product Compliance certifications of Apparel and Sports Equipment products
Knowledgeable of Product Compliance regulations for North America & Europe (EU)
BS in Engineering or Physical Sciences Preferred, Masters or Advanced Degree a plus or relevant experience
Professional Quality Certifications Preferred (ASQ CQE, CRE, or Lean/6 Sigma, etc.)  

Pay range: $124,173 - $206,955
Hiring range: $125,000-140,000
At Patagonia, pay ranges are assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
